Medical Glossary - Letter Z

This medical glossary of terms beginning with the letter "Z" contains the more common medical terms one might expect to encounter in a medical report or in hospital notes. Zygoma

The cheekbones. There are two zygomatic bones that form the cheekbones of the face and the lateral (outside) border of the orbit. It is connected by suture with the maxilla and the frontal bone

Zygomaticus

A facial muscle arising from the zygoma, it elevates the corner of the mouth
