Temporary Crowns/Permanent Crowns

The application of a crown is done in two stages. In the first stage, the tooth is properly prepared, a mold of the tooth is made and then a temporary crown is applied. A permanent crown is constructed from the mold, which typically takes about two weeks. In the second stage, the temporary crown is removed and the permanent crown is cemented into place

The treatment code in the system described as 'Application of crown' covers both states; there is no separate code required for the placement of a temporary crown
